Using Flex Builder as a Plugin and can't compile? Do you have Aptana installed?

So here's an issue I spent hours on a few weeks ago and it drove me nuts. Today, someone in the DalNet #CFFlex channel came in with the same issue, so I figured I would blog it.

If you have Aptana installed into your Eclipse IDE, turn off the Show Errors option. It interferes with your Flex apps and will cause errors, refusing to build your Flex app. Simple fix, but can be annoying to try to determine why. This is especially true if you are working on a Flex project and install Aptana, then all of a sudden your Flex app won't build.

Max Hamby's Gravatar Thanks again, tj!

I'll buy you a beer if we ever end up in the same place. I'll be easy to spot... I'll be the one with the flat forehead (from beating my head against the wall repeatedly over this issue!).
