Kalendar 1.0 RC3 Released
So after a quick code review this morning I found myself very dissatisfied with the state of the HTML and CSS in Kalendar. I hastily decided Kalendar needed an update to the HTML to make it more XHTML compliant. Turns out this was not an easy task.
Currently it should be XHTML 1.0 Transitional compliant. In future months I hope to take some time to make it XHTML 1.1 compliant but this may be a big undertaking. Current changes will enhance the overall application's maintainability in addition to a cleaner overall output. The CSS will more easily control the look and feel, allowing skinning to be more fluid. I spent very little time on the admin tools, only running quick verifications and fixing what I found. it is likely you will find non-compliant code, please let me know. Also, the condensed view needs some work. Going through it I realized it was implemented hastily, I found a number of HTML bugs. I squashed those but I really need to spend some time working out the CSS styling of this. My apologies to those of you who have had need of that view and had to hack your way through it! If you downloaded RC2 I recommend using RC3 instead. If no serious issues are found in the next couple weeks I will add a couple small new features and go gold!

I just downloaded 1.0 RC3, and have installed it successfully on my dev server. It works quite well, and I'm amazed by the feature-set. Thanks for giving back to the community!
One thing I'm noticing about the day view: When I define an event that spans more that 1 day, it displays OK, but when the event lasts less than 1 day, it doesn't display.
I tried to duplicate the problem by posting an item for Aug. 3 titled 'Michael Test' on http://kalendar.sanative.net, but that item displays in single day mode. I haven't altered any code on my end, so I'm not sure why the item doesn't display on my site.
Thanks,
Michael
